650 small companies were established in public vocational schools; each company consists of 10 students supported by a symbolic amount to motivate them to produce and sell. Their profits exceeded 245,000 dinars in one year.
70% of profits were returned to improve the school environment they learn in.

From a Broken Chair to a New Opportunity
Instead of buying new school chairs, we thought differently: why not use the skills of vocational school students to repair the damaged ones?

We started with a pilot repairing 1,000 chairs, then the project grew to 180,000 chairs, saving around 4.5 million dinars.
We didn't just fix chairs: we gave students a chance to train and work, and made the most of the resources at hand at the lowest cost.

Simple Spaces… Big Chances to Play
Why build expensive new playgrounds when there are spaces we can already use? That question started the Playgrounds project: turning school yards and available spaces into safe places to play, with simple solutions at a low cost.

In a single year we rehabilitated 1,200 playgrounds across Jordan, at about 200 dinars each, giving thousands of children more room to play and move.
